Waiting on the King

Advent is a season of waiting—but not the empty kind.  It is a holy waiting, filled with hope and promise.  In the Gospel of Luke, we encounter a world longing for redemption, a people waiting for their King.  From Zechariah’s silence to Mary’s song, from shepherds in the night to Simeon’s praise in the temple, Luke reveals that God’s promises are sure, His timing perfect, and His salvation near.
In this Advent series, Waiting on the King, we will prepare our hearts to receive the One who comes to reign in mercy and truth. As we remember Christ’s first coming and look forward to His return, we are invited to live as a people who wait—not in fear or weariness—but in faith, joy, and expectant hope.
