Our Story

How it all started...

Dr. Walter Wood, Jr. and his family moved from Atlanta in December 1993 with a vision to start a church in Greater Cincinnati. North Cincinnati Community Church held its first worship service on January 8, 1995, in a hotel then called the Quality Inn Kings Island. The NCCC congregation quickly outgrew the hotel and  moved to the Village Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mason. In December 1997, we acquired the current 15-acre piece of property on Irwin-Simpson Road in Deerfield Township. After years of planning and construction, we held the first worship service in the current facility on June 20, 2002.

Expanding the vision...

North Cincy's mission was to “proclaim the gospel through word and deed to Cincinnati and the world.”  By God’s grace, North Cincy planted eight new churches in ten years and is currently planting a new Church in Blue Ash, Ohio.
