City Lights Kids

Through the NCCC “City Lights Kids” children’s ministry program, we strive to help children learn about and love God. Our goal is to reach children with the good news of the gospel and teach them to live out their faith, so that they can glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We teach biblical truths step by step with age-appropriate applications, so that children at all levels have fun with a purpose. We also aim to shepherd and offer help to families, supporting them in their primary role as faith developers. Read our City Lights Mission Statement for more details.

Children’s Ministry Programs

Our “City Lights Kids” children’s ministry includes:

  • Nursery care for infants through two year olds at both 9:00 and 10:00 a.m.
  • Wee Worship for children age three through Kindergarten during the 10:00 a.m. worship service. Children go into the worship service with their parents, then are dismissed for Wee Worship before the sermon. Children go to the Multipurpose Room for music and a short message, then on to their classrooms for activities.
  • Sunday School for children age two through sixth grade at 9:00 a.m. Two year olds through Kindergarteners meet in their individual classrooms, first through fourth graders meet together in the Multipurpose Room before attending rotating workshops, and fifth and sixth graders meet together in their classroom.

Children’s Ministry Special Events

In addition to Sunday morning programs, we periodically offer special events for kids. Our children’s Christmas pageant and the “Birthday Party for Jesus” on Christmas Eve are always highlights of the holiday season. We also host a family Easter breakfast and provide special kids’ events during our annual Missions Conference in February.
