Just a reminder there will be no Jr. High or Sr. High Sunday School classes this week (Nov. 22) due to the True North Fall Retreat.

Remember to bring your Thanksgiving basket items with you to church THIS SUNDAY (Nov. 22). We have a great need for donations this year, so feel free to add to the list on your grocery bag. We’ll be distributing the baskets at Yorktowne on Sunday afternoon. This is a great family project! Meet us at NCCC at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday for instruction and prayer, then we’ll head over to Yorktowne.

A lunch meeting for anyone interested in participating in future ministries at the Yorktowne community takes place this Sunday, Nov. 22, after the second worship service in the Multipurpose Room.

CityLights Children’s Ministry will present “Angel Alert” the weekend of December 5-6. The Community Breakfast Theatre takes place on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 9:30 a.m. Invite your friends and neighbors! There is no cost, but reservations are required. Please use the Event Registration website feature to RSVP. The evening performance takes place on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 6:00 p.m. and includes cookies and carols. Registration is not needed for this performance.

We’ll be preparing Thanksgiving baskets again this year for 40 local families in need. Read all about it on your orange bulletin insert this Sunday. We’ll be passing out turkey cards and grocery bags again this Sunday as you leave. You can help by purchasing items for the baskets and bringing them to church with you next Sunday, November 22. Contact the church office if you’d also like to help deliver the baskets at Yorktowne.

On Wednesday evenings January 6-February 3, 2010, we’re offering you the chance to “break away” from your normal routine and join us for five weeks of equipping and learning. You’ll have four different seminars from which to choose. Childcare will be provided for infants through sixth graders. See the Breakaway brochure for all the details. Registration deadline is Sunday, December 13.

Grab a gift star from the tree in the lobby, take a collection box to hold a gift drive at work, sign up to volunteer at the Store…there are MANY ways to help! Stop by the Christmas Store table in the lobby if you have questions.

The registration deadline for the True North Fall Retreat is this Sunday, November 8. The retreat takes place Nov. 20-22 at Higher Ground in Indiana. The cost is $90. You’ll find a registration brochure on the Youth page or you can pick one up at the Welcome Center in the lobby.
